Allied Rail Rebuilders progress continues

Continued work on the Allied Rail Rebuilders (ARR) kit on Friday (03/28/2008) and

Sunday (03/30/2008) by adding some gray latex caulk to the brick walls of the structure to simulate mortar and grout between the bricks. Then framing of the walls began with the base foundation then added the interior steel support structures and the removable roofing segments. I then modified the front service entrance door and attached it and the door storage area and side rails to the front wall. I also tested the clearance with locomotive and temporary track placement. The next steps will be to measure and cut the track and attach it to the cork roadbed, then wire the track with a SPST switch to the control panel to power off any locos for long term storage. The roof vents also need to be added and the prime mover still needs to be built and added to the area on skids.
